About the Author
Sudha Murthy was born in the year 1950 in Shigaon, a town in the northern part of Karnataka state. He has done M.Tech in Computer Science. He is currently Chairman of Infosys Foundation. His novels, short stories, children's stories, travelogues, and other essays in Kannada and English have been published as books. His books have been translated into many Indian languages. Among the awards given to him are the R.K. Narayan Award (2006), Padma Shri Award (2006) and Attimabe Award for Literature (2011) awarded by the Government of Karnataka.
